{"id":5580,"date":"2020-04-29T14:16:09","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T14:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preventivo.tenutadeimori.com\/?page_id=5580"},"modified":"2020-04-29T14:16:09","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T14:16:09","slug":"sustainability","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/preventivo.tenutadeimori.com\/en\/farm\/sustainability\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a summary of the ways we approach sustainability:<\/p>\r\n\t<ul>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>Mulching<\/strong> of the soil to preserve its natural fertility \/ the natural balances within the vineyard.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>No use whatsoever of pesticides or herbicides<\/strong> either in our vineyards or in our arable farms \u2013 these are replaced with mechanical methods.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>Adopting the Philosophy and Techniques of Organic Agriculture<\/strong> in all areas of our farm.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>Meteorological station<\/strong> with monitoring system set in our vineyards, olive groves and arable farms.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>Electric vehicles<\/strong> to move around our farm, which we also use for tours.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li><strong>Constant monitoring<\/strong> of the water level\/activity of the soil.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li>Techniques of <strong>leaf removal<\/strong> (<em>defogliatura<\/em>) in our vineyards to facilitate air circulation and to reduce the spread of plant disease.<\/li>\r\n\t \t<li>Removal of weeds every other row to preserve the natural habitat of the insects and animals living in the area.<\/li>\r\n\t<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Here is a summary of the ways we approach sustainability: Mulching of the soil to preserve its natural fertility \/ the natural balances within the vineyard.
